Chance was an extraordinary greyhound, but when they are yours they are all extraordinary. Chance and his brother Rex were kept as blood donors by a veterinarian until they were slightly over 8 years old. We adopted them both from a local Austin greyhound rescue. We initially had to deal with several hemangiosarcomas of the skin due to their constant exposure to the sun while being blood donors and kept in pens outdoors.
Like his brother Rex, Chance adjusted to the life of a pet in short order. They both constantly displayed their joy for life as they quickly integrated into our family. This is a picture of Chance six months after we adopted him. He lived past his fourteenth birthday, and filled our hearts with constant love.
